At just 28 cm (11 inches), the Scottish Terrier looks a very powerful breed for its size. They have a harsh wiry coat that keeps itself quite tidy. A distinctive, well sculptured head with a long, coated muzzle - usually black they also come in very dark brindle and wheaten. The 'scottie', as they are often known, is a great family friend that is full of character and will act as a deterrent despite his small size.
