Gundogs are the sporting group of dogs and probably the most easily recognised. Their working task is to retrieve game and to help in hunting however, these traits are not always complimentary to those expected in the show ring.

They are are loyal and friendly group of breeds, with intelligence and a willingness to please. They have an easy going temperament and are not too vocal.
