The C.B.B.A Club Show 2009 in conjunction with the Budgerigar Society World Championship Show

The C.B.B.A Annual club show was held as usual in conjunction with the Budgerigar Society World Championship Show on the 26^th &27^th September, at the Dome, Doncaster

There was a slightly disappointing entry of Clearwings .There being a total of sixty five bird’s benched .Quality was maintained however and some good examples of the Variety were on view.

The Award for Best Clearwing in Show went to well known Guppy & Barnes partnership,

The winner being a quality Yellow-wing Dark Green cock from the Campion A/A section.

The Best Yellow-Wing A/A Opposite sex was a nice hen from the same stud.

The Best Yellow-Wing Young Bird was another triumph for Guppy &, Barnes this time with a good Yellow-Wing hen.

Best  Yellow-Wing young bird opposite sex went to Roger Day, another Perennial winner at the club show.

In the Whitewing A/A  section the winner was a good Whitewing cock staged by Rob Bray from the Intermediate section, the Best opposite sex coming once again from Guppy & Barnes.

The Best Whitewing Young bird went to Roger Day with a nice hen and the same fancier took the Best Opposite sex award.

Congratulations go all winners and thanks go to all the other exhibitors who made the effort to show. The novices and Beginner winners made quite an effort, the Wilsons travelling from Kings Lynn  and the well travelled twosome, Alex Hoskins and Alistair White made a long journey from north of the border.

The next event for the Clearwing Fanciers to look forward to will be the annual Show and A.G.M to be held at Wolvey Leicester on the 6^th June 2010. There will be speakers etc and hopefully we will see a good attendance and a good entry of birds.
