SPANGLED BUDGERIGAR BREEDERS' ASSOCIATION

NEWS - DECEMBER 2005

reported by Janice Al-Nasser, SBBA Publicity Officer, photos by Marion Wixon

The SPANGLED BUDGERIGAR BREEDERS' ASSOCIATION had a good club show held in conjunction with the B.S. club show with a total entry for spangles of 327 in comparison to last year’s 286. This was felt to be extremely good as the show had a drop in entry while the spangles (greens & blues) had an increase in entry. Congratulations are extended to all winners including those who also fared well in their prospective sections. It was anticipated that the partnership of Sheila Burne and John Crooks should do well with their Spangle Light Green cock if they showed. This is because they have captured 5 Best in Show awards this season with this well-known Spangle. Show they did, and they won Best Spangle in Show with a powerful Spangle Dark Green cock (their well known spangle stayed at home).
