From time to time, breeders of pedigree animals and birds find it necessary to re-home older individuals due to a variety of reasons. Very often cats and dogs are being retired from a breeding programme, did not reach their breeding or show potential plus a variety of other reasons and are now looking for a comfortable life as a cherished pet. This new section in Best of Breeds is being developed to cater for such events and to put new owners in touch with these older but nevertheless very rewarding animals.
