CRESTED BUDGERIGAR CLUB MEMBERS SHOW - MAY 2012

Our club held their second Annual Members Show in conjunction with the Rare Variety & Colour B.S. on 20th May in Loddington and the show was judged by Mick Widdowson, past President & Chairman of the CBC. Unfortunately there were only two exhibitors benching 17 crests (same number as last year). Our thanks to Dave Moss and Dave & Linda Rafis for benching their crests in the champion section. Also I would like to thank John Hunter for providing a trophy for Best Crest Young Bird at this event for perpetual competition.

The tufted class was won by Dave Moss with a Cinnamon Skyblue cock. The circular any age class was well supported and Dave won that class again with a Circular Dark Green cock winning the Best Crest Any Age award. The Best Crest Young Bird and Best Crest in Show was a powerful Circular Opaline Skyblue cock benched in good condition with good strong crest by Dave Moss. Dave also won the Best Crest Opposite Sex with a Circular Opaline Cobalt hen. Well done Dave for the strong team that you benched and let us hope that more members will exhibit there next year.
