Crested
BC - 2011 Club Show Our club show had a further drop in entry from 55 to 35 for Raymond Rogerson to judge but the quality was still of high standard. Mick Widdowson had some good quality crests benched and his Circular Opaline Light Green cock was an excellent example of the crested variety which had good size and neat crest to win the adult challenge certificate, Best Crest Any Age and Best Crest in Show. His well known Tufted Light Green cock of good size and a good example of the tufted variety was placed second best. Grant Findlay & Nick Flavell were third best with a Tufted Grey hen staged in excellent condition and good tuft winning the Any Age Opposite Sex award.
The Best Crest Young Bird award went to Arthur Millers Tufted Opaline Cobalt cock sporting a good tuft and staged in good condition. Jaak Zeebroek staged a good quality Circular Grey cock in second place; a bird of good size but slightly out of condition. The Findlay & Flavell partnership occupied third spot again with a Circular Light Green cock of good size. The Best Young Bird Opposite Sex award went to The Cheatley & Alcorn partnership with a Circular Dark Green hen of good crest.
