Crested
BC - 2010 Club Show Our club show had a further drop in entry from 60 to 55 for Mick Widdowson to judge but the quality was still of high standard. Paul Cheatley & Terry Alcorn partnership came to the fore in winning the adult challenge certificate, Best Crest Any Age and Best Crest in Show with their last year young bird winner the Circular Dominant Pied Skyblue cock. A bird staged in good condition with good neat crest. A Circular Cinnamon Skyblue cock of good crest and spot was the runner up for S. W. Beach but was not in the same condition as the winner. This was followed in third place by Arthur Millers Tufted Light Green cock. The Best Opposite Sex Any Age award went to Colin & Sharon Meachin with a Tufted Dominant Pied Cinnamon Grey hen which had some pin feathers.
It was good to see Andy Brown staging the Best Crest Young Bird with a Circular Skyblue cock of good size, clean and smart bird. The Cheatley & Alcorn partnership were second with a Tufted Skyblue cock but although had a good crest but not of the size of the winner. Best Opposite Sex Young Bird and third in the line up was a big sized Tufted Skyblue hen but had one spot missing. Condition let many birds down.
