General Secretary Ian Fielding presents Alan with his medal at a Southport BS meeting
Alan has kept budgerigars since the late 80's. He kept various colours including Clearwings and Recessive Pieds. He was an active member of any society that he is a member. His local clubs were Merseyside BS and Southport BS.
Alan was the subscription secretary for the VBC until 1994.
Alan breds recessive pieds and had several success with this variety on the show bench. He usually won at least one challenge certificate in the show season.
Alan has now moved to Spain and although does not now keep birds has maintained and interest in the Society.
